Dragonfly Kameron's Avalanche "Cameron"

"Cameron" or Cammi-Bear as he was so dubbed, was the very first afghan hound that I owned. To say he was a confident puppy is a gross understatement! He very much knew how the world should be run, HIS WAY! He taught me some invaluable lessons about training and raising afghan hounds, all of the "dos" and "don'ts" and "can" and "won'ts".  He was a remarkable show-dog as long as you asked him to do it and didn't tell him to. He was an extremely striking white dog with jet black pigment, he posessed a beautifully chiselled, long head with lovely underjaw.  Cameron was a standard sized dog, with tremendous reach and drive and lift that made him look like he had springs attatched to his paws! He quickly started accumulating some very nice wins, BOB's from the puppy classes and several points.  All this with me at the wheel as a novice using him to make all of my first mistakes on!  Unfortunately Cameron dislocated his sholder while running, and his show career had to be cut short.  He currently resides with Joanne Loewy and his littermate "Merlot".  He is a dog that taught me alot about the breed and about handling dogs in general.
